Cab Strut Brace

Picked up a G50 Cab and am going to be doing some suspension work soon; ball joints, ttr, shocks etc. I was also thinking about installing a strut bar brace but a friend advised against saying that tying the shock towers together on a cab may actually twist the door posts. Anyone have any experience here?

Sounds like BS to me. These prevent flex, not increase it.
