If you could regear a g50/01 on a 3.6 varioram …
I’m putting together a car… 3.6 into an SC with g50 swap. Sports purpose car, IROC build. Shop I work with has a bunch of g50 gears from a couple of cup cars that came through the shop.
I’m not sure what they have but ideally what would one change to make it a more fun car to drive? ….shorter 3,4,5? Car will drive cross country to run in rallies do a few track days etc. Anyone care to share their experience?

excpt for a missing 6th gear the /01 compares closely to a 993Cup /30 the /01 is a tad lower in 1 and a little taller in 3-5 but for a street trans that's fine, especially w/o the 6th gear

Thanks Bill. We'll button up the gearbox and run it as is. (just took it apart to count gear teeth) I suspect all the torque of the varioram will make up for less than perfect gear sets.
