OK... so I'm done building it, but I doubt I'll ever be done tinkering, upgrading or fixing stuff.
It's hard to believe it took 2 years and 4 months. Some people will say that's fast, some will say it took too long, and the rest will just call you plain crazy. Regardless, it's been a great learning experience with ups and downs and a tale of friendship and camaraderie. Much thanks to this board and its members for giving me feedback and direction on many tasks. I can turn a wrench and tell a difference between a flat and phillips screwdriver, but without a doubt, would've had a hell of time working on this project if I didn't use the search function or start a new thread. Below is the car on the first day I brought it home. (August 2005) ![]() And here is what it looks like now. (December 15 2007) ![]() If you have time for a long-read, please visit this site for everything in between the two pics above. For those of you that may have seen my original site - this one is NEW! Cheers and Happy Holidays! |

Great car and website. You have done a great job. I like the talbot mirror. I can't tell in the pic, did you paint it to match the car or is it brushed aluminum?

Here is the original website I created while building the car. Not much details but plenty of pics http://www.readynet.com/porsche/ And this is a website I created in the last few days with lots of details, pics and entertaining stories. http://www.readynet.com/myproject/index.html |

Speechless. One of the nicest cars on the board! Just wow! Since there isn't much to observe on perfection, I'll ask an unrelated question. What kind of floor do you have in your garage. That looks really nice (and durable), so I thought I would ask since it looks great in many of your photos.
Congrats on a beautiful car. JA

The floor is a type of epoxy coating with flakes/paint chips. The company I used locally is called Magnesite Specialists and they did a very nice job. It is durable but it does chip if you pound on it... like I have. |
