Idle issues in SC-just to clarify

My idle in a CIS SC hunts from 975-1175 for about 2 min when starting out cold. After searching I see it's a common issue. My question is since my idle stops hunting and is rock solid after +/- 2 min, is it just taking some time for the O2 sensor to heat up and then to start regulating things or something else?

I'm still new to the CIS system and trying to pick up as much as I can from the search files.

This is usually a tuning issue, a combination of ignition timing, fuel mixture and sometimes spark plug choice. CIS is calibrated for a new engine and any vacuum leaks or loss of compression throws it off. The O2 sensor is out of the loop until the system goes closed loop at 15C. My advice is put in a new set of Bosch regular plugs, disconnect and plug the vacuum retard, reset your ignition timing, and check the mixture with a dwell meter. Search for vacuum leaks with an unlit propane torch. If your injector sleeve o rings are original, they are probably leaking.
