Tyson,
Thanks for the quick post. Are you pleased with the hyperblack. I was afraid it might look to contemporary but it looks great on your track machine! Craig

I think it looks good on the right color car. It's kind of an attitude color, not a vintage one. Good for outlaws, and track cars.

Tyson,
Are your wheels all hyper black, or are the outer rims polished? Its hard to tell from the photos. Thanks

Hmm, it's making the $999 and 6 months wait look like a pretty good deal, eh?

Not really. At $1500 you could just buy some used BBS wheels. I'm just going to order new inners and outers for my racing BBS wheels and slap them on my 930.

I don't think I have to explain that I meant that the $999 and waiting 6 months is a relative bargain compared to $1499...
I loved my BBS wheels on my Audi, but I wanted to retain the Fuchs look on my 911.

Well kids, I decided to go with the RSR finish on my 1979 SC. The RSR should have a classic yet aggresive look especialy with My SC set a little lower than Euro spec.
Now I can put some foul weather tires on my OEM polished Fuchs to get me to Mt Hood for some serious skiing this winter Rota is showing interest in maybe supplying wheels for other Porsche series cars. So you 914 guys might want to chime in on the 914 thread???

$999 was definitely a bargain!

Yeah, I think so. So what BBSs do you have for your 930? The last I saw of it, you had 7s and 8s on it (no, I don't blame you for taking the chrome 18s off of it and putting them on your 996 - looks good on it!) I'm sure traction is at it's limits with the 8s on the rear of your 930 though! Your 930 is gorgeous!
sorry for the OT... tsunamiboy - I think the RSR finish will look great on your GPW. That was my second choice (well, third if you count that I really wanted polished lips and petals).

The chrome 7s x 9s are still on the car. I really hate chrome and have a set of black BBS Motorsports wheels for the car, but they are in 15". Another set of the Motorsport wheels came in and they were a little too wide at 10f/12r. That set is gold.
If it were up to me, I'd go for the SC finish as it doesn't look as dated. The machine polished lip is nice, but if you curb it, it may be a little harder to match than a painted lip.
