Mirror value, part #
Anyone know why this mirror is so valuable, at least according to the seller, and what is the part # of such a mirror?

Part # 911 731 013 01
With almost 28,000 cars manufactured for 72' & 73' minus the right hand drive models, sure wouldn't seem to be too rare. Maybe he feels anybody doing an RS conversion or real thing will pay silly $, not me. Also not much interest to his add. |
Isn't there a large and small rectangular mirror for the 72-73 year that have different part#'s and could that be the reason for the price--that this is the smaller, rarer smaller version?

There is a larger rectangular one that is still available new. The smaller is is nla but you can find a repro. I think that they may have the same part # because they use the same base. The larger one was also used on the 74. Nice ones are bringing pretty good $, but like all this stuff it's what the market will bear.
