Testing dead oil temp gauge. Wire run question.
I have tested the gauge on my 70T against the battery (it pegged) and installed a new sender. Still dead. Next I will do a wire bypass of the green/black wire that runs from the sender to the gauge.
If this is the culprit, where do these wires emerge from the engine compartment into the cabin and then run to the dash? Under the transmission tunnel carpet? Under the seats? Don't want to tear up my carpet in the wrong place. Thanks. |

On my '69 that wire comes out near the three rubber junction plugs near the right rear shock tower.
It travels down that wiring bundle, near the right rear trailing arm and enters the tunnel on the right side. Then up the tunnel and exits with the wiring near the pedal cluster.
