3.2 Wiring Loom Q's
Im in the process of joining in the rear section of wiring loom from a 3.2 to repair my loom in my 72t. In the middle of the tunnel theres a few clusters of wires that I want to ID, before I pull the looom fully through to a point that I cannot access these I want to make sure I dont need to use them. Basically half way through the tunel theres three small groups of wires that come off the loom at the same part. One has about 9 wires in it I know this goes to the 3.2DME and DME relay then theres two groups of two wires im pretty sure one is for the the handbrake light does anyone know what the other group of two wires is for? Also in the rear near the rear fuse panel I have a 12 pin plug similar to the usual 14pin plug in addition to the 14pin plug whats this for?
Steve

I believe that the other wires would be for the heater possibly.

Quicksilver, I didn't remember the seat wiring being in the tunnel, from when I removed them, when I recovered and rebuilt the seat switches. May have been, I just don't remember.

HI Steve
The 3.2 DME loom is not attached to the main loom???? "One has about 9 wires in it I know this goes to the 3.2DME and DME relay " You will have wires at the front of the tunnel for the center console switches, wires in the center near the hand brake for the brake light, auto heat control, speedo, seat belt light, poss' switch wires for the cruise control and poss' seat motors/heaters??. depending what year car the loom came out of? if you let me know what colour wires you have and I will trace them back for you. regards mike

Hi Mike The main DME loom is seperate from the loom in the centre tunnel and goes out through the rear bulkhead to the engine bay on the left side however there is a group of 9 wires that come from the centre loom to give the DME power from the ignition and starter switch and the tach signal etc goes through this to the front. I have all these rote down in my notes from when I did my 3.2 transplant. Steve
