Most changes separate the 78-79 from the 80-83. Of those that I can think of off the top of my head are:

80-83: O2 sensor and more emission controls (this is a negative), but you can just disconnect the O2 sensor to revert to the pre-80 system.

80-83: Black trim around the windows rather than chrome

801/2-83: double bushing chain tensioner sprocket

80-83: No air pump

I think that the 80-83 had more torque, but I'm not sure. HP remainted the same except for the ROW (non-USA) models which went to 204 with higher compression pistons.
These are all I can think of.
Hope this helps
Nick.

Bruce Anderson in the "Handbook" does a nice job of running down the changes, albeit minor for these years. As for the black trim, that was an option in 78 and 79, as was dual mirrors.

There were some other minor, but arguably important changes. Later SCs had different oil sump pickup venturis. They also have steel injector lines. There are other minor differences too, but I don't recall specifics. Oh, the early SCs actually had wider ports in the heads, which are better for the 3.2 P&Cs.
