I just installed the metal steering wheel bushing from Pelican Parts, about $15.
Wow, how easy and such a dramatic difference in steering wheel movement... or should I say lack of steering wheel movement ![]() I have a Nardi steering wheel so your procedure maybe different. Pop out the horn button and use a 27mm socket to remove the nut that holds the steering wheel on. Pull off the steering wheel, watch to not loose the spring washer under the 27mm nut. Grease up the bushing with bearing grease and place on the steering column shaft. You can start it but will need a deep socket 21mm to drive her home, or should I tap. The bushing slid right in with very little persuasion from the 21mm deep socket. Put the wheel back on and reattach the stuff. Done. I should have done this replacement a year ago!
