Ignition Coil Options

I've verified that my ignition coil is dead. Car starts right up with a coil fromna running car.

Help - My Car Won't Start

What are my options on a replcement coil for a 1987 911? Is the silver Bosch TCI Coil the only option? It had a back coil with an orange top Bosch TCI - seems this is no longer available. I have a MSD Blaster 8202 coil would this be an acceptable replacement?

Early_S_Man posted that the MSD "vibration proof" coil is a good match for the Bosch CDI unit...I forget the MSD number...it's a black coil, "potted", so it can be mounted in the original position.

The silver Bosch (made in Brazil?) coil does NOT have a good reputation for reliability.

Warren Hall...sorely missed.

Those are the best option for the Carrera (non-CDI) and still available,...

Last I checked, they were around $ 121.

So to answer my question, can I use the MSD Blaster 8202 with the motronic ignition system?
