964 Dual distributor belt problem
In my attempt to be proactive, I removed the driven distributor from my '90 C4 and peered inside to evaluate the drive belt condition. The belt appeared to be very loose, and in my feeble attempt to evaluate further, the belt fell completely off of the hub (I barely touched it)!
Questions: 1-Should the belt be that loose? 2. Does anyone know the most cost effective method to fix the problem? 3. Can I snip and remove the belt and drive the car on one set of plugs? 4. If I unbolt the distributor, will it pull straight out, or are there other concerns? |
