CT tire shop recommendation

It is comming time for some new tires on the 911 and I'm sure many of you are like me when it comes to "tire time". The thought of some idiot kid touching your precious wheels not taking care to do it right, treating them the same as those from the rusted out Chevy Cavalier before you.

That being said I'd love to have some input as to a recommenation of a good tire/mechanic shop for mounting tires in the central CT area.

I appreciate the help.

Matt

I'd also be interested Matt as I'm ready for a new set.

Thumbs down

Do not go to Town Fair tire. Their knuckleheads worked my 911 over last summer. I'll spare you the details.

Wherever you go Matt, have them place the weights on the inside of the rim. It's a much cleaner result!

Good luck.

Matt, I've been using Simsbury Tire on route 10 in the north end of Simsbury for years with all my cars and never had an issue.

I forgot to mention, they don't have a great selection of tires to choose from, so i buy them at Tire Rack and let them do the swap. And they did put the weights on the inside. Just be sure to mention it to be safe.

I went to M/D in Clinton. Not quite as close to you but they did a great job. I brought in my own tires and they charged about $5/tire to mount and balance (weights on the inside).

Simsbury tire sounds good. Clinton is a bit too far to travel. I appreciate the suggestions.
