Warren
Wayne, is there anyway that you could make Warren a permanent Moderator? That way everyone could check his valuable postings and his profile for years to come. It is such a sad day, to loose someone that had the knowledge that he brought to the forums, and his willingness to share with so many, trying to help them. What do you think??

There is no question that Wayne supports the notion of memorializing Warren's considerable contributions over these many years on this Board. I believe Wayne has plans in this regard.
It was crystal clear to me seven years ago that Mr. Hall's knowledge of these cars was intimate, to say the least. I have not concluded that anybody has had more knowledge about 911's than Warren. Perhaps there are folks here with more information than he had but one assumption is safe.....that they all learned some stuff from him.

He seems to have had a considerable amount of literature, etc. to pull info from as well as his knowledge committed to memory. I sure hope this collection of Porsche information is preserved in his memory (in the other sense).
Perhaps any financial gain could be contributed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation |

Maybe a book based on the above?

I'll second Milt's suggestion about donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I am a biomedical researcher and the focus of my research is on Cystic Fibrosis lung disease. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a first-rate, superbly-run foundation that does a tremendous job distributing funds for research, educating physicians and patients' families, and seeking treatments and cures for this disease.

We're going to be documented his work here on the BBS in our upcoming 2008 Wiki project:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/385319-warren-hall-early-s-man-1950-2008-a.html#post3679772 Moderators need to be active in the forum so that they can remove posts that are off-topic and steer posters in the right direction if they go astray... -Wayne

Hi Wayne, I see what you are talking about. Are you going to make it like a topic selection like you did for the paint and bodywork, or just make it a "sticky" so all could see the knowledge that Warren had brought and shared with the forum? However you do it, I know that it will be one area that will be drawn from, for years to come. Thanks a lot, Tony.
