rear end whomp whomp whomp
:rolleyes:taking advantage of the mild and sort of dry weather been driving the car.
i'm only on about 500 miles since i got the car, so it's still 'shaking down cruise' days. this morning the rear end driver-side started having a rotational whack-whack sound, like a flat tyre, but harder, almost a 'thump'. disappeared when accelerating, resumed when cruising or decellerating. it's too dark to check it out. what could this be? the car handled normally... |
If the car was sitting for a while it could have just been a flat spot. Why only in that tire? I don't know, maybe when it was stored that tire lost a bit more air than the rest.
It could also be a suspension problem. I think if you search 'cupping' it might give some insight. Cheers! |
While you're under there, check for loose/worn CV joints.
Badly torn CV boots might do it too and if they're that bad you have some R&R to do on the joints themselves. Good luck. Les |
I second the CV joints...
