Porsche Crest rocker shaft leaking oil 2.7

# 6 cylinder intake rocker shaft has moved 1/4"protruding out of bore is it possible to set # 6 at tdc. use 8mm allen loosen shaft and hold 5mm allen steady loosen up ,remove bolt ,conical bushing ,conical nut. then tap rocker arm shaft flush with thinner flange.

Sure, but make sure #6 TDC is ready to fire (look at the rotor).

You can also back off the rocker arm adjuster for more wiggle room. Check the recommended torque on the fastener. I think it should be tighter than the factory spec. Don't quote me, but 20 ft.lbs.?

sherwood ? RSR seals would this be a time to install them on 1-6 WAYNE

RSR seals shouldn't be necessary if all is well, bore and shaft-wise. However, some guys think they're cheap insurance and install them anyway. PM me. I think I may have some.

It may be the rocker shaft has shifted to one side leaving the other side leaking. Make sure the shaft is properly positioned and then tighten the through bolt.

Torque I looked is 13.2 ft lbs. Motor on stand will check all 1-6 wayne

I think that is the factory 'new parts' spec. I also think the real world rebuilt engine spec is the beefier 19 or 20 ft.lbs.
