Valance Cut for Dual Out

I am getting read to cut the rear valance on the passenger’s side for a new Magnaflow dual out. I read on one of these posts that if you cut the valence hole a little smaller and roll the edges of the hole you will get a cleaner looking cut out. Anyone know how to actually roll the edges? It seems like it would be a pretty tight bend. Thanks.

It's a lot of work, but if you get a metal wallpaper seam roller, or similar (even a pipe will work), you can roll the edges slightly. The question is are you trying to keep the paint? To keep the paint, use tape on your cut. Be careful rolling, one slip can mean stitches.

I did this...easy, but....

You do this on a primered example and use padded ( taped up) Channel Locks. Go slowly and make minor-bend contours for the whole semi-circle, and then start all over again from the front and do a little more. Repeat.

Then sand or polish down the tool marks, if any, ( Dremel using a Cratex wheel), and then hand over to your painter. May be able to do this to a pre-painted panel, too, but you need to be more careful, and maybe use only touch up paint or mask/spray with the valance off the car.

Check out Fabspeed's website. They have a how-to video on cutting a dual outlet.
