Can't find connections...

Sorry to do this, but I looked through several diagrams and photos and I cannot find the connection point for a couple of things for my 79SC. I worked my way into too many projects on the car and disassembled too many systems without properly documenting where things were originally. Now I am in a time bind because the home owners' association blew a gasket about me working on the car and has threatened to tow it. So I have everthing re-assembled, but can't find the proper routing and connection point for two things.

The first is the vent line from the oil tank. I have the first line connected to the crankcase vent, but looking through diagrams and drawings it is not clear where to connect the second line, nor is there an connection point readily visible (I hope I don't have to dis-assemble something to get it connected!).

The second is the vaccum control valve- I have the diagram for it but I cannot determine where to mount it and route the lines for it. Again, nothing obvious due to state of assembly.

I am sure I could figure it out with enough time on my own, but I have until the end of the day to have the car running and I still need to route the heater hose, set the timing and adjust the clutch....

Any quick answers or a couple of photos would be IMMENSELY appreciated!!

And lessons learned: 1) it ALWAYS takes longer to assemble than dis-assemble
2) take photos, make drawings and individually bag components AND hardware per system
3) Keep the neighbors happy

Sorry guys.

Some pictures for you.....

Matt,

Hope this will help you hook up the hoses to the oil tank. The top rubber hose from the oil tank is connected to the CIS rubber boot. The pictures show the plugged rubber hose. The braided hose coming from the rear of the crankcase is the another breather hose connected to the second and lower connection of the filler tube (second pic).

There are four (4) hoses to the oil tank:
1). Top from CIS boot
2). Crankcase breather hose (braided hose in the picture)
3). Return oil line to tank or cooler (if any). Other version is the wrap around metal line.
4). S-hose (supply line)

Tony

Thanks Tony-
it is the one in your photos at the back of the engine that looks capped...the one in the top photo that comes across at nine o'clock. Where does that connect?

and the vacuum control valve?

Matt,

The plugged rubber hose in picture #1 is connected between the top oil filler tube and the CIS throttle body boot (see the white plastic plug). The picture was taken before the arrival of the alum. elbow fitting. I plugged it just to make the engine run during test.

What is vacuum control valve? Picture will help. Thanks.

Tony
