Any Change in 15" tire choices?

Did some searching, but looks like the 15" wheel is still limited to a 205 and 225 combination in a high performance street tire. Does anyone know if a high performance street tire in 245 is available in a 15". I see Toyo R888's are available in a 235, but that's not a good tire for predominately street and canyon driving.

I have a really nice set of polished FUCH's in 7" & 8" x 15" I'd like to avoid going to 17" wheels if possible.

The Toyo site once showed t1r's in sizes like 205-55 and 245. It doesn't anymore. Are these black market tires!

Hoosier makes a 245/50/15 in the R6 which some people hand groove for street tires. Another option is what Corker makes as replicas. The BFGs at the top of the page look like a possibility or Michelin TBs but they are pricey. Radial Tires - Tire Styles

That said, you don't need big tires to have fun, Chris Harris seems to agree with me. Since this is for a street car, fun trumps speed.

225s will fit great on a 8" wheel and you could run them on 7s as well or drop down to a 205 on the front.

I just picked up some 15x8" wheels for my car and plan on running 225/45/15 Hoosiers square on them with 7" wheels on the front.

Take a look at the Hoosier full catalog. The have 225/50 15 and 225/45 15 in slicks and street as well as 245/50 15 and 245/45 15. I just ordered a staggered set, 225/45 15 for fronts and 245/45 15 for rears. I'm using 7s and 8s for wheels.
