I'm considering sending my fuel injectors off to be cleaned/serviced. Has anyone done this? I've found the "injectorshop" in CA. and they appear (from website) to do a thorough job @$24.95 ea.
Any recomendations? I'm not looking for advice on fuel additives (Techron etc.) I'm looking for advice on where to send/take them. ------------------ Dan Tolley 1987 911 Coupe http://www.cheaterswayside.com/911/gallery.asp?sort=0&userid=294 |

I don't know what kind of injectors you have, but I have seen NEW CIS ones for $25 each.
Hard to justify servicing at the cost of replacing. |

The motronic injectors are pretty pricey. They list for about $88 at the dealer, low 60's discounted. I guess if they are in good shape, it's cost effective to clean them at half price and reseal them with new o-rings instead of $400 for new ones.
I'd give it a shot. I bet it helps a little. Would have done it myself if I hadn't just reassembled the intake manifold and fuel rail assembly. ------------------ Kevin 87 Carrera |

RC Engineering has a very goos reputation. I got my injectors from them for my project. Their website is www.rceng.com

I replaced one injector (new unit) last year, and figure for $150 I should get them all flow tested (matched) and rebuilt.
I look outside every day and see snow and more snow. With the added weeks of winter storage this year I've decided to do a little extra maint. :-) ------------------ Dan Tolley 1987 911 Coupe http://www.cheaterswayside.com/911/gallery.asp?sort=0&userid=294 |
