What are the mods if any? I'd love to test drive that beast!

It has a factory Cup front bumper w/factory Cup lip spoiler. Factory cup rotors & Pagid pads & Stainless brake lines. The Euro GT3 seats, Factory Short shift.

Lowered suspension, Giac ECU flash. Milltek headers w/high flow cats and mufflers.

I may have to raise tha car back up a little, these Louisiana roads are pretty rough. The PO also did the console delete.
Here is a pic of the interior.

I was real apprehensive about that trip (I have made that drive several times before, here to LA) and was not particularly looking forward to it. I was also unsure how comfortable those GT3 seats would be for long distance driving.

I would have to say that the trip went very good and I was very surprised how comfortable those seats are. And west Texas w/their 80 mph speed limit was actually fun to drive this time...we had an avg speed of 97 from El Paso to San Antonio. and 24 mpg avg.

The GT3 is IMO the absolute model of choice in any iteration. Did you get the first series Mk1 in US?

An '05 is the Mk II here.

Exactly! I've done that drive a couple of times in 928's that were picked up out west and driven back to TX, mine included. Having a fun car to drive and gobble up those miles is a blast. Not maybe the best scenery, although some spots have beauty, the undulating hills and bends with pretty decent pavement and a high base speed limit are the basis for happy motoring.

Congrats...I'l admit my first comment was..."I hate this guy"

That's envy for you...

jbrinkley 01-16-2008 06:28 AM

comfortable like, since it's a p car I could sit on a granite slab and still have a hard on comfortable?
or, gosh, these M3 seats suck, we drove the wrong car for sure comfortable?

lol

KCPSG 01-16-2008 06:31 AM

No...actually comfortable... @ least I was comfortable.
My A$$ did not feel like it had become one w/the seat!!! :D

John P (w/a T) 01-16-2008 08:09 AM

I was fortunate enough to drive a dark blue '05 GT3 about a year and half ago, and I will NEVER forget that car  I'm a life-long early 911 guy, yet I was so impressed with this car; it felt relatively light (despite being heavy), was tight, and had ungodly power band and brakes!

What really surprised me was that you could feel the origins of the 911 in that car.

After my wife and I got out of the car, I said to her, "I would lose my license in a month with this car."

Congrats.

John

RF5BPilot 01-16-2008 06:24 PM

Looks like military hardware.

EarlyPorsche 01-16-2008 07:50 PM

What this Luis guy replacing this with? A 997GT2?

BRPORSCHE 01-16-2008 08:12 PM

Luis is a well know Porsche enthusiast on www.6speedonline.com I didn't know this car was for sale, and don't know what he is replacing it with. He is a great guy.
