83 911 O2 Euro System - What's This?
Have 911 Euro Conversion. Wiring is somewhat different that what is shown in Bentley. I need help identifiying a component and it's function.
We're looking at the left side of engine compartment. (1) is the component I am looking to identify. It is inline with (2) going to the Warm Up Regulator and (4) going to the Fuel Pressure Accumulator. (2) and (4) must be fuel lines. (3) are two wires (GRN, RED) that plug into this component in question. These two wires, along with a BLK wire (which goes to ground), are encased in a black plastic sleeve. These wires, along with fourth wire coming from the O2 Sensor, go to the O2 Control Box under the driver's front seat. The control box receives one more wire (RED) from the harness in the dash area. ![]() The O2 Control Box looks different than other posted pics of the same year. Any comments on the O2 Control Box? looks like there are adjustments that could be made there. ![]() Last edited by GaryDG; 01-20-2008 at 07:51 AM.. Reason: Correctly post control box picture |

Gary (1) is a fuel injector that must be some kind of enrichment device. I have never seen anything like that before it is not stock and looks kind of rigged up too me...looks like a fire starter!

It's an aftermarket feedback loop for your injection. Item 1 should function similarly to the frequency valve in the US model SC's from 80-83.
I can't really tell from the photo, but it looks like there are 3 pot's to adjust different phases of the engine operating spectrum. Regards, Jerry Kroeger
