how to remove door lock knobs??

Replacing some broken door hardware, and I want to pull off the door lock knobs-not the levers on the top, but the knobs you twist on the door pannel-I need to get the plastic knob off to replace the broken surrounding trim

How do ya get this knob off??

Pry the center disc off - there's a philips screw inside. Careful prying though - don't booger up your parts you intend to put back on!

So the knob has a cover that pops off-and then you can get at a screw to remove it?

Yes it has a center cap with a slot to pry it open if you look closely.
