Now for something completely different - Zuffenhaus training (?!?)

Some of you may know Jack, our EFI tuner, wiring guru and all around everything else guy - he's been Zuffenhaus for a year now and to commemorate the occasion, will be entering the 7th or so circle of Porsche hades with Aaron and I - 911 surgery.

So, as a radical training exercise (and possibly because one of our local Cadillac-endowed citizenry drove across the front end of his daily car,) Jack elected to replace roughly 1/2 of his vehicle with a straight donor clip.

RHD, of ocurrse, for all the pranks and comedy that ensue as a result (like taking turns riding in the ex-driver's seat with your hands covering your eyes (as if in panic) as you pass oncoming traffic, or policemen...)

Thought you guys might enjoy this - and, since it is training for 911 surgery, it has SOME P-content to boot.

First, the damage from the Cadillac:

this is repairable, of course, but what's the point, when 2 fenders, and hood and a frame pull total the car according to the Insurance industry?
Notice that the old Honda loks a little woozy in the frame area? It's still seeing stars at this point.

Here's what the stork brought:

(In the Honda world, this pallette costs less than a decent set of coilovers for our cars - no wonder kids and accounting types like these cars!)

Here's where it gets good.

"All you have to do is cut this here, here, and here, Jack and make the same cuts over there, and weld it together. Have fun!"

We're big on proper instruction - kind of like the old-world apprenticeships around here.

- but for Jack, it's more like those folks who teach their infants to swim by throwing them in the YMCA pool. - but then going to get some lunch.

You need jigs for this stuff.

and Jack makes his own jigs.

All it needs now is a little bit of boost to keep up with the Porsches on track.

The only reason you're taking a trip to the 7th circle is because you worked on a Honda. MUAHAHAHAH!!!!

Redemption exists in the form of hilarious, internet video postings of right hook Honda mischeif ... or of Aaron doing something stupid.

But it looks like you used a frickin' laser to make that cut. That is impressive.

13,500 miles and two track weekends (Summit Point and VIR Full course) with zero issues...

P.S.

It's been known to get a little crazy every so often around here....
