Need to know.

Bump up.

Does not appear to be factory...I've owned numerous 911s and haven't had one of those.

Carrman 01-23-2008 04:51 PM

That's not factory, somebody added that, so it could do anything. I'd check behind it, if it has wires, trace where they go.

robmog 01-23-2008 04:52 PM

on an early mfi car that is often a cold start enrich switch.
not sure in a 79 sc tho.

matt4hand 01-23-2008 04:54 PM

eject ? Sometimes I wish I had one of those....

Alarm light ? most were near the fog lights and lighter could be earlier car than mine or after market? (guessing) One of the P-car Wizards will chime in soon.

Not factory. Probably an alarm flasher.

Hmmm..??? I don't see the red button you speak of. :D

It's not OEM. +1 on tracing the wires....Let us know what you find

Is it actually a push button, or is it a fixed red lens? It looks like a lot of the "alarm armed" lights I have seen. If it is actually a switch, is it a momentary or single pole push button type switch?

Good point, almost looks like an old Clifford LED

Once when I moved into a new appartment, there was a light switch on the wall that didn't do anything. We used to switch it on and off all the time, until I got a letter from a lady in Germany saying "Cut it out." (Steven Wright)
