Since I rebuild my engine New studs; segments; valve job; carrerra tensioners; plugs(these are ok); Camsetting at 1.00mm; discset; paint job; and all the other little things like oil change fuel filter cleaned injection system I still feel that my baby goes on as it schoud be she has a top speed of 200km/h thats not it for a 1981 sc 3.0 with 210 Hp ignition is set ok what could be the cause of retaining at high rpm I tryed so many things that I dont know it any more, btw I have a stainless exhaust system but I dont know the name of it it is a single pipe exhaust. Can anyone out there help me out with this THANKS a Belgium PO lover

You said ignition is set o.k. I assume you checked it at 6000 rpm to see if it is getting full advance, right? I believe there is a switch on the throttle body that is triggered at wide open throttle. Is it getting triggered at WOT? If it is, then check to see if it is working with an Ohm meter. Have you checked that your throttle is even opening all the way? Have someone hold the pedal to the floor (engine off) and check to see if the throttle plate is wide open. Lastly, I know this is simplistic but were you in a head-wind at the time? Sometimes it's hard to tell. Just a thought.

everything looks ok even at full throtle it opens all the way; ignition has been checked at 4000rpm at it was ok I think the problem could be not enough fuel delivery. Could that be? When I drive in 5th at full throttle my car holds in and I can't get her further than 195km/h. What else could it be
