This deals with my last post on powder coating my fuch rims. The shop wants to know what the rims are made of and what the the process was in painting the the centers of these rims originally. Were they painted, powder coated, or anodized from the factory. He is concerned with the baking process and what it could do to the rims.
Thanks |

The Fuchs wheels are forged aluminum. The center section is just regular old paint. The rim portion is anodized.

Correction. I think the whole thing is anodized and then the center is also painted over the anodizing. Anyone care to verify this?

When I polished out my rims the centers were also anodized under the paint. I kept my mouth shut cause I just thought I was nuts or something.
