Front sway bars- 911 same as 914??
Can anyone tell me if the factory front sway bar for the 914 is the same one as the one for the early 911's that goes through the body? I am looking for one for my 1970 911T, and have come across one for a 914.

I kind of did the opposite of your question, if it helps. I removed a Weltmeister front bar from my '73 911 to instal "Charley Bars". My nephew owned a 914 that needed a front bar, so we mounted the Weltmeister "thru trunk" bar on his car, with no problems whatsoever.

I should think they would fit because the 911 front end is a popular upgrade for the 914 with its lighter AL components. I'm sure somebody that knows for sure will chime in, or you might have better luck asking this question over on the 914 forum. Good luck and post pics!
