Window motor just clicking

Hi, and thanks in advance.

I have a 75 911S, the doors have been upgraded to galvanized but unsure about the year. The doors came with the power windows and I decided I would keep them.
I am having problems with my windows.
The passenger side stopped working about a month ago. There was a few times when it worked hesitantly and then just nothing.
The drivers side went out over the weekend.
I have researched the board and checked things as far as I can.
I have checked the relay in the trunk and it is clicking so I assume that it is O.K.
I switched it out with another, still no change. I multi- metered the relay also and it seems to be functioning right.
I have tested the power at the switches and all 3 are getting 12 volts.
Here is the part where it gets a little tricky. When I pull off the two center connections on any of the 3 switches and give them a direct 12 volts the same thing happens.
There is a faint click inside the door after about 5 seconds of direct power. The click is repetitious, like a clock. Click...click...click...click...etc
Neither window will move up or down but the clicking follows whichever switch I hit with the power. Drivers side switch, drivers side clicking. Drivers side passenger switch, passenger side clicking. Passenger side switch, passenger side clicking.
I assume that means my wiring is correct, maybe two bad motors.
I haven't investigated inside the doors yet but that is next if necessary.

Any suggestions before I take the panels off or does this just sound like bad motors.

Thanks again
