Help.. really loud buzzer!

I have a 76 911. I was driving it yesterday and all of a sudden this really loud buzzer goes on. At first I thought it was the horn and that somehow the wires were touching but it wasnt the horn.. They sounded different. But the buzzer was on for awhile like 3-4 min...Anybody know what it is?

From front of car? Reference to horn sounds like it.

First thought is fuel pump is heading South.

Also I've heard similar when my front fresh air ventilation fan (w/ crummy bearings) behind dash, came on by itself when I hit a bump.

Only other things up there are, if you have A/C, the evaporator blower in the smuggler's box or the condenser fan by the battery.

if your car has a factory alarm, it could be the alarm horn going off

Could it be the seat belt warning relay?

That's what I was thinking. Need a little more info though. Pull the Temp/Druck or RPM gauge out. If the sound gets louder, it's probably the belt warning relay. Carefully feel around in there for a boxy relay that might be shaking/buzzing. If it is, pull it out. You might have a bad relay or a bad connection making it go off.

Check the front air con condenser blower motor, when it starts going out (bearings) it sounds just like a buzzer very loud.Only happens when the air con is on. It had me looking all over. Easy fix
