Damned 'whileyou'reinthereitis' has struck again!
So i've welded in my front pan and am about to spray my undercoating when i discover that i really SHOULD drop the front suspension to do it right. Okay, i'll just get it out of the way enough that i can get a clear shot for the undercoating. button it back up and i'm on my way to driving the car again.
Nope. How can i drop the entire front and not pull out out for a complete cleaning? New brake lines might as well get done too. Okay, good enough. Nope. How can i have that entire assembly out of the way and not scrub the wheel wells? Wonder if i'll need to undercoat them as well? It appears that the PO sprayed some uc already because i'm peeling it off and finding the conda green that is OE. Okay, so i add a few afternoons of work to the list (i don't get a ton of time in the garage). Not a big deal right? Well last night i was cruising the elephant racing site and i'm thinking maybe i should go polybronze on the front. Yup, that was going to be next year's project but if it's all apart now..... Guess what comes next in that train of thought.................................powdercoat ing the a-arms. I dunno. Lordy this really is getting out of control. Erik btw, i am thinking about scrubbing the ENTIRE front trunk down now and shooting all of it with the SKS.

Just get bigger tires and lower the car so nobody can tell how dirty they are.

Nylon brush; good thought there. The SS and brass i have would probably be somewhat damaging (though they do get the surface rust/gunk off the nuts and such very well).
