Crane XR700 is a 70 2.2T???

Hi to all, i bought a Crane XR700 thinking i was to use it in my stock 914/4. A twist of faith made me go into a six conversion for my 914, using a 2,2T from a 1970 911. Can i still use teh Crane pointless ignition?

I think there is a slight difference in the boxes. I am looking at installing one myself and for what i can tell by looking in the Performance / Automotion catalog, there are two seperate models of the xr700.
