window switch
Does anyone know if the power window switch for the sc's are the same as an 86' carrera. Thanks.

Automotion lists part # 911.613.621.03 for 72-89. Hope this helps

They are the same until the C2 when they switched from spade terminals on the back of the switch to pins with a plug in module on the wiring harness

Do you know if the window switch can be replaced without taking the door panel off?
the Bentley book says: panel off, but after seeing the switch I think that with a couple of slim putty knives i could save myself a lot of time. Comments please. Regards Andy |

FWIW, on my 87 and 88 you CAN replace the switch with the door panel on. Very easily...just slowly pull the assembly out and NOTE WHERE THE WIRES go on the switch. Pull them off and match them up the the corect spakes on the new one.
