Oil Cooler Leak/Seal
I've pretty well come to the conclusion that my oil leak is from the oil cooler. A check of the top of my engine shows it bone dry, but I have significant leakage from the front passenger side of the engine.
It seems as though most of the topics I found on a search for to oil cooler seals were from newer model cars, mine is a 1977 2.7. From reading the 101 projects book, it would seem that I need the 3 seals (look like plastic bushings) for my unit, and not the foam seal that is shown on the external cooler. Can someone verify that? Is there anything else I should be on the lookout for, or need to perform this job? The 101 projects also says this can be done fairly easily, and without an engine drop. I'm planning on setting aside a weekend and full container of laundry detergent, oil dry, etc. for the job. Has anyone done this that can give me some confidence and guidance? Thanks in advance.

It's not hard to do in the car. You might want to have the cooler pressure tested while you have it out. Mine had sprung a leak. I got a used pressure tested one from Partsheaven and it solved my problem.

Thanks Andy, I needed a confidence builder.
The three bolt seals are all that's required on this one, correct?

In my admittedly limited experience, it's more likely the oil cooler or something else is leaking than the oil cooler seals themselves.
