Just finished replacing "O" rings on compressor manifold, vacuumed and recharged system. The '83 York still pumps out some cold air! It shakes like a Harley Shovel Head but as long as it makes cold, I'll live with it. Sunroof cables are next. Just for a backup. Summer in the south, gotta be ready!

Robert,
When the York finally gives out, you can always opt for one of those window evaporative units made for Bugs in the '50s ... kind of a nice vintage touch! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |

I've been running air in my '72 S since I bought it in '74. Never a problem. Haven't serviced it, haven't bought new coolant, haven't replaced a condensor, and it takes zero power from the rear wheels. It's a secret system...known as the "two ninety" system. Roll down two windows, cruise at 90, and drink lots of fluids...it works well.

I've always called that climate control - the climate controls the temp!
