Need help identifying early 911 dash awitch
This switch was on ebay, being sold as a fog light switch, but the indicator light on the knob looked a lot bigger than other fog light switches I've seen for sale. The price was right, so I bought it anyhow. Did I get what was advertised, or something else. There's a # 6062 cast in the back plastic part, and no Porsche # visible.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]()

I just removed and sold my fog light switch from a 1984 911. The fog light and defrost switch are the same Part # 911 613 147.00 The knob pulls out and turns one click. The switch you have may be older or aftermarket but still work properly. The back wiring lots right. I have another switch if you need one. $30.00 shipped. The knob/light section looks different then mine do.

That looks exactly like the hazard flasher switch in my '68.

It's a fog light switch with an E-flasher knob. The fog light knob has a small light in the middle.
I just went out and checked and the knobs are interchangeable.

Rich & Mike, thanks for clearing up the mystery. I knew that some early 911 guy could help on this one. Now I just have to find a fog light knob suitable for a 72.
