Anyone know of a source for rear caliper bolts?

I'm rebuilding my calipers and broke a couple caliper bolts during disassembly. Does anyone know a source for these bolts (see pic)? This is a rear caliper from a 911SC. I didn't see them listed on our host's inventory.

I don't know if the bolts are the same, but I have an old set of calipers off a 1985 Carrera sitting here. Let me know if they'll work and I'll see of they still have bolts in them. If they will and they do, they're yours...

Call Pelican before you assume they don't have them. You should support PP whenever possible, or at least give them the chance.

Those are RIBE bolts, sometimes referred to as polydrive (I think this is what snap-on call them.)

You really only need the treadpitch, length and width. Any good fastener shop will match them. Change out to a normal head for servicibility.

Paul, thanks for the offer, but I think the calipers on an '85 are different than my SC. At least the rebuild kits and pistons are different according to Pelican's catalog.

I think the reason those are so peculiar is that most people don't split their calipers.

I have always been afraid to do this because of the difficulty in getting them back together without leaking. I always stick to just chaning the o-rings.

I doubt they are any higher than 12.9 which is readily available here.

I was just worried that people would go out and get any ol' bolt based on length and pitch - not a good thing if a 12.9 bolt is spec'd for the brakes!

What did you use to refinish the caliper body? Did you send it off for yellow zinc plating?

I media blasted the caliper halves to then painted with caliper paint. I could have plated them, but the power supply I have for my plating bath does not supply high enough current to do large parts like a caliper well. Below is the before/after for the front brakes. I did re-plate the nuts and bolts, tho.

The bolts I need for the rear caliper I'm building are M7x1.0 Ribe bolts. I checked with master 911 brake rebuilder and all-round great guy, Eric, over at PMBPerformance (check out his great tech article on Porsche caliper rebuilding on his website) and he doesn't know of anyone who stocks them. I did a search of fasteners sites and could not find anyone that stocks an M7x1.0 bolt of any sort, let alone one with a Ribe head. An M7x1.0 is dangerously close to a 1/4-28. I'm going to do a little more searching, but I may just swap all the bolts out with 1/4-28's of appropriate strength. Not a perfect solution, but should be functionally equivalent.

I will check here for the 7mm, but if memory serves me correct it is a tough find. Probably thursday before I can get out there.... Can you measure the length, not including the head?
