About 10 months ago I did my center caps at 350 for 20 minutes. They are holding up very well.

350 degrees for 27 to 30 minutes. Opps, I'm sorry, that was for brownies.

I painted my fan and shroud a couple of weeks
ago using PlastiKote engine enamel,The first time I painted the fan I used too much paint and baked the fan at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes. The paint rippled once I installed it on the car,it was too thick, I re-did the fan, this time using less paint and I did not bake the paint,so far so good, No rippling.I do not recommend the PlastiKote engine enamel, I am already noticing pitts on the leading edge of the fan, I've seen a ceramic engine paint that looks pretty good after a while, mine has only been a couple of hundred miles and is already showing signs of not lasting very long. |
