This wire that is located on the top of the engine just behind the altenator housing it attaches at one end to the engine through bolt, where does the other end go?

I am not sure, but I think it goes on the case of the alternator.

What type of connector is the ground wire where it attaches to the alternator?

Is it a spade connector? If so there should be a mate for it on the alternator (should be a ground).
Or is it a round type connector?
If this is a round type, I think it goes on one of the shroud bolts.

Also check for a B- post. This might be it too.
I would have to look at the manual to be sure though.

Sorry. I am just not sure. I wanted to add my .02 though

Yes, it goes to the Alternator. If you are looking at the Alternator from above while it's in the fan housing it should connect to the far right connector on the Alternator. You should also have a smaller grounding wire connecting to this same point.
