alternator compatability

I have been gathering parts for my '67 912 6cyl conversion.
I bought a 2.4 e long block and have been sourcing parts all over to complete the project. I have an alternator that appears to be from an newer car. It has the double pulley. Will this work with my car? Does this setup still need shims? I believe it may be a different diameter. Would a smaller pulley give an advantage of spinning the fan faster?

Having trouble identifying my alternator. Despite many searches I am not sure which model I have. There are no identifying marks on the unit. I understand that I need an external regulator of the same brand to make things work. Any advice?

Post a picture of alternator. Double pulley =964, inappropriate for your car, you want a 35 amp bosch or 55amp motorola, search here for pics

"Can anyone tell me what model alternator this is?"

It's a 911SC 70 amp Marchel. It's been rebuilt (attempted by someone),
as some of the wire clips are missing and has been sandblasted.

So which external regulator do I need? Pelican shows two options Motorola 70amp, and a Marchal 55W.
