help finding car report on a 79 sc...
I need to get a car fax report on a 1979 porsche 911 sc, problem is every website i go to get a car fax report needs a 17 digit vin, this car has a 10 digit vin: 91192111xx, any ideas on where i can get it? i wanna run a report before i purchase this car thanks

I have never heard of getting a carfax on an older car with the shorter VIN. You'll just have to make sure you get a PPI done, and done well.
A lot of prospective buyers post the car on this site including the location so that we can chime in and sound smart. Could help you out a bunch. HTH, J

Car-Fax is not available for the 10 digit vehicles. I don't know of any other report sources for the earlier 10 digit cars.

Even CARFAX says on their title page that you must have an 81 or later car.
No 10 digit VINs. Have to do a PPI -BEFORE- purchasing. |
