Racing number door lamp?
Does anyone know where to find those classic small lamps that fix to the doors and down-light the racing number?

Jim,
That lamp has been used on many Porache race cars over the years. Even though it has a Porache part number, I think it is a standard Hella part used on some other (non-Porsche) street cars. Best, Grady

I can't make out the lamp in the picture but some of the ones I have seen are the hella license plate lamps from a 1968-1973 BMW 2002. I think the part number is 64 11 1 356 501. You should be able to get them from Pelican.
Good luck. Joe

The ones I've seen have been nothing special, nothing unobtanium, nothing aerodynamic, nothing trick--just small, off-the-shelf license-plate lights that the Weissach guys grabbed out of the stockroom.
