Poly Bronze install question

Just bought PolyBronze bushings from our host and starting to reassemble, don't remember seeing any instructions and have searched posts but found my answer.

I am using the OEM bushing carriers instead of the low friction control arm mounts as they were in good shape and don't think the car was ever tweaked, is the bushing supposed to be a pretty tight fit going back in the carrier? Do I need to remove any material or use a silicon lube?

Thanks for your input.

hey buddy. download the instructions! they are on the elephant racing website. i made some small mistakes along the way that could have been 100% prevented if i had read the instructions first. dont make more work for yourself like i did. i did alot of forehead slapping..DOH!

but for your question, i think every car is different. you need to have the polyurethane bushing part tight in the bushing sleeve. chuck mentions a specific weight range to push them in. i could get mine in by getting them aimed and started; then just pushing them down with my bodyweight. i finished the last bit in my vice. no silicon lube needed. i did mix up a batch of soapy water. i used that for a lube.

i just did this project several weeks ago. are you doing the rears too? i have a good tip for them if you are. lemme know.

Vash,

thanks for the slap upside the head. I had gone to the Elephant Racing website, but missed them first time. With your admonishment, went back and looked more carefully and there they are! Shezaaammm!
