Einmalig Feedback Please

I was going to bring back an old post but it only had one reply so I thought I'd ask this question again. Has anyone have any feedback on Einmalig and their workmanship? I was looking into getting one of their rebuilt 3.4 engines and would like some opinions. Thanks.

I had Einmalig work on my '82SC on a few occassions and am pleased with their work. In my experience this is a good and reputable shop.

They performed a "near" top-end rebuild on my SC in October 07 where they replaced the head studs, chain tensioners, and clutch. I pulled the engine myself and was going to do the work myself but decided to listen to reason and have a professional do this work. They completed the work on time and within their original quote so I'm very pleased. Best of all, I have driven the car 2000 miles since I got it back and have had 0 issues! They did a great job on my car and went the extra step and replaced all hardware and fasteners with newly CAD plated and powder coated items.

I'm the type of guy that is very skeptical of mechanics since I can and do most of the work on my car myself. Although their work was not cheap, I am happy with it and would take my car back to them in the future.

Hope this helps.

Gabe

Thanks for the input Gabe. So did you send the engine Einmalig or the whole car?

I dropped off both the engine and car. They "rebuilt" the engine and installed it back into my vehicle. The whole process took about a week from when I dropped the car & engine off to when I was able to drive it out of their shop. During which they called me whenever they encountered something needing my approval - for example, I didn't realize my chain tensioners were shot until they pulled them off.

The two reasons I chose this shop were:
1. They could schedule me in right away - I think I got lucky on this since they were completing other projects when I called.
2. They have a vast selection of used and rebuilt parts. I didn't end up using any used parts, but it was nice to know if my engine needed something expensive I'd have options with them. Also, their new parts prices were fair and similar to those from our kind host at Pelican. I would not have saved any money buying the clutch, head studs, or chain tensioners myself.

I must say it was a very positive experience and I believe the guys running the shop are very professional and knowledgable.
