Weird clutch problem

OK I am reinsalling the clutch. I use the allignment tool BUT after the pressure plate is tightened, I can freely move the clutch plate inside?????

The one thing I can think of is the 3 securing screws for the throw out bearing, I am ashamed to say that I don't remeber if I loosened these when I took the transmission out?

Can this be the problem? How tight are these supposed to be?
