I bought my car on july 2000, and I think that it was not running from about tree years untill now.
In a few days I will be in the States and i would like to buy some spare parts for the car, in particular for the engine, but since I do not know anything about it´s history, I wonder If there is any way to know if my engine (2.0 “S”) has been upgraded to a 2.2 or 2.4, before dissasembling it ? Thanks in advance Ed ------------------ |

Ed,
I think the group on this BB is more than willing to help you but you may need to provide a bit of history on the car. The year and model might be a good start and anything else you can think of. Mrdi |

ok, you'r right,
The car is a 911 1969 "S" (MFI) The engine # * 6391416 Body # 119-31-0085 The codes match a 911 2.0 L "S" Targa. The problem is that I was told about some not specific change in the engine that makes it closer to a 1970 than to a 69. (???) As I plan to begin the restoration process at my return to Bs.As. I thought that it could be possible for me to buy some gaskets and other spare parts in advance in the US, but may be the best way should be waiting for my return to home. Thanks, Ed |
