We have a small caravan of early cars planning on heading down from the Boston area, and are picking up a few more from RI as we head south. We are driving down on Fri., leaving around noon, getting rooms down there, hitting the swap meet early Sat. and driving back on Sat. afternoon. You are more than welcome to join this motley crue! Keep an eye on the "Attn: Rgruppe, S Registry, and porsche enthusiasts" thread right here on tech forum.

I'll be there on Friday and Saturday, bringing the wife with me she looks forward to this event every year ( no kidding) We go to the Parkside Bar and Grill on Friday night. Are there any other pelican's going there as well?? It would be nice to meet up with some of you. I will be trying to form a caravan from N.W. Ohio. We will head east on the turnpike, If you care to meet up with us P.M. me and we will work out the details

Glad to see that a few people are going down. I don't know how much walking around I'll be able to do. I just reserved a space so I can try to sell some of the extra items that I won't be using, ( doors, tail, muffler, etc. ).

It would be nice to set up a meet and greet. I'm in for that.

I am planning on driving the 911 there, although it would be nice to meet up with some pelicans along the way to bring up the posse count!

I have never been before. Is Hershey a place where you could go and buy some 8 or 9x16 Fuchs? Is pricing there reasonable or all over the place?

Yes, but you would need to get there early when the selection is best. Prices can be all over the place, but negotiation is generally OK. You really need to bring your A game to Hershey. Know what you want, know what a good price/value is and prepare to move quickly.

It's interesting just watching how the inventory of stuff can change in an hour (and I got there late -- around 8 a.m. -- last year). There's a big eBay influence on swap meets like Hershey, too. Sellers who aren't motivated will use the line, "That's what I get for these on on eBay" or, "I'll just take this back home and sell it on eBay."

Don't get me wrong, guys who really know rare or hard-to-find items do make scores at Hershey, and sometimes there are sellers who really want to unload that utility trailer full of parts in a hurry.
