a funy sad story... for someone

Had to share this. Or maybe I am being slightly synical.

Nah....

I decided to take a chance on some Euromeister 9x16 replica Fuchs. I had heard from several that aside from not being forged, they were very happy with them, even when using with a stock Fuchs on the other end of the car. I thought why not. Plus, I found a virtual deal on the wheels.

Some store (Sierra Madre) on eBay was selling a set of 9x16's. The starting bid was $195. Not a huge discount off their current sale price (in the store) of $213, but a discount nonetheless.

So, I waited til the last minute, and No one had bid on them. 3 minutes to go, I decide, what the heck. I bid the starting $195. With seconds to go, tinking I had won, someone jumps on there and bids $275 each. What!?!?! The only thing I can figure, is someone looking out for them, or someone who did not do their homework. Good grief. They paid 35 more than that store regualr price, not to mention over $60 more than the current sale price.

Sorry, I feel like I am venting now. No big deal, I can buy the same wheels for $60 less. I just could not believe it though. If that other guy ever finds out, he is gonna go, DOH!

JK- I hope the other bidder pays for them quickly and then figures it out. LOL

I've seen parts go USED for more then they cost new here and other places. It blows me away, but I guess that's what happens in auctions. Sometimes, I even e-mail the winning bidder with links to here, performance, etc and they never responded. Probably, because after my email they wished they just bought it outright.
