Im in Atlanta and had Franz Blam Racing (Tucker GA) rebuild my engine- its more on the east side of the town, but his shop is one of the best in the US, so I recommend the 30 mile roundtrip.

Try:

Ryland's in Marietta @ 770.951-9305 Ryland

Automobile Atlanta in Marietta @ 770.427.2844 George

Proformance Place in Marietta @ 770.514.1448 Reggie

These are the three that have been around for many years on the west side. Rylands in my opinion is the best, but prices may vary so get estimates over the phone and BE SPECIFIC on what you want done so their are no hidden costs.

Good luck

Bob

Isnt Jack Lewis around there (Douglasville or something).

My 911 had service receipts from there - service receipts looked detailed and thorough; said 'porsche specialist'.

I think Rabbitsnack is volunteering Derek. He's not cheap though. Ryland is a good guy. Jack is good but far away. Reggie is for latte sippin' Volvo drivers who don't mind being ripped off.

And Ray, the metal saw is portable. Would you like some more holes in your car somewhere?

Thanks man.. I'll pass the info on.

Also, do any of you guys down on that end ever get together for coffee & cars or runs through the back roads? Checked out the local PCA site and they're doesn't seem to be much happening...which is odd as the suburban ATL area seems to have quite a car culture.

Onboost,
Also have your buddy call Matthew at MotorWerks in Cumming. Just north of Alpharetta.

+1 on Kerry also.

Onboost, this weekend is the fall PCA DE at Road Atlanta (the reason Derek is looking for a shop) . It's free and there is always some pretty cool stuff there.

Yeah, he and I both know about that one.. I think he is planning to drop in.

He'll be driving Diamond Blue Metallic wide-body. I'll tell him to look out for you guys.

Thanks,

P-
A few years back the pelican board was active for setting up drives. It has been a while (for me at least) since I have been on a drive with pelicans. There are other loose groups that go on drives regurally from the area.
