I just bought a headliner kit from tweeks. My car is a 72 911. No windows, no headliner, no rubber. Has anyone installed a headliner? Shops in my area want around $400.00. This seems rediculous. I took the old one out and it doesn't seem that hard of a project. Looks can be deceiving though. Any help would be great.

If you've never done a headliner before, I would suggest you keep shopping around for a decent price. I supplied a local shop with my car-no windows-old liner removed--ready to install-and with a new headliner I ordered-all for the amount of 100.00! My ***** was the glue that was shot out through the winsheild openings, and onto my brand new paint job! That was a bear to clean.
For something that's going to last for 10+ yrs, do you(or other) really want to look at the crappy stretch work you attempted just to save a hundred or so? Just a thought.......good luck...S |

Can't help you on the headliner but I've got a question for you. My 72 (beautiful headliner) had no sunvisors when I got it. I have bought some but am not sure where to install them. I don't feel anything behind the headliner. Is there a threaded bracket or something back there? I don't want to mess up my headliner so I have done nothing so far.

I found a shop that would do mine for 260.00. you are really paying for time on this, becase the way it all goes behind the rubber seals. there are holes in the outward front corners for the visors, there are 3 holes 2 screw and one for the spring part of the visor.
